Tascam Series 208I Interface Layout

Front panel, starting from left side:
Input 1 (XLR/Jack combo socket)
Gain knob position at top right of socket
Below gain is a switch, Instrument level is left, Mic/Line is right
Repeat same layout for next 3 inputs
Moving further right from input 4, you have:
Monitors volume (big knob)
Top right of front panel are two smaller knobs:
Balance (left is zero latency monitoring, right is DAW monitoring)
Headphones volume (left is quiet, right is louder than 60000 teenage Beatles fans)
Below those two knobs are two headphone sockets

Back panel, described from perspective of reaching over the top of the unit, left to right:
DC 12V power supply socket
Female USB socket
Standby switch is above USB socket, left is standby, right is on
Optical in (S/MUX) A and B
MIDI sockets, first is in, second is out
Outputs 1 through 4 (balanced jack sockets)
Outputs 5 through 8 (unbalanced)
Phantom power switch is above output 3, left is off, right is on
Word clock sockets are above outputs 4 and 5, first is in, second is out
Kensington lock slot is above and between outputs 6 and 7
