BP StepGate is a simple 32-step gate and step sequencer. Each step can be set to different shapes, including long, short, medium, ramp down, and two types of ramp up. You can define where the pattern starts and ends, adjust the overall envelope, and change the grid size to control the playback speed of the pattern. It’s designed for quick rhythmic gating and repeating movement without a lot of setup.

BP AudioFollower is an audio-driven modulation effect. It follows the level of incoming audio and uses that signal to move other FX parameters in Reaper. The plugin includes attack and release controls, a threshold, and adjustable modulation depth with both positive and negative ranges. You can choose which input channels the follower listens to (1/2, 3/4, or 5/6).
To use this plugin, you need to:
- Have both the plugin you want to modulate the parameters of and BP AudioFollower on the same track
- Move the effect parameter you want to modulate
- Run the action "FX: Show parameter modulation/link for last touched FX parameter" from the Actions List
- Enable the "Link from MIDI or FX parameter" checkbox
- Choose the AudioFollower plugin you inserted in the track fx chain, and choose slider named "4: Output (Modulation)"
- Tweak the modulation in the BP AudioFollower plugin.
