# How to use Ffmpeg with REAPER: These files extend the amount of formats that Reaper can play and render. They're for Windows only. Here's how to use them: 1. If you're running Reaper X64, then copy the files in the 64-bit folder to your clipboard. Reaper 32-bit will need the files from the 32-bit folder instead. 2. Paste whichever version of the files matches your Reaper into the UserPlugins folder of your resource path. For a standard Reaper installation, that will be at: %AppData%\Reaper\UserPlugins For portable versions, go to wherever your portable lives, UserPlugins will be in there. 3. Once pasted, restart Reaper. If you've installed these encoders because a file wouldn't play, re-insert the file that you're trying to work with. You'll also find new choices have appeared in the Format combo box of the Render dialog.
