If you're experiencing choppy speech from JAWS, here's a step-by-step on how to fix it. Tweaking the setting described below makes a big difference with most laptops that have RealTek drivers, because when using any power plan below High Performance, the drivers hibernate after a ridiculously short period. Thanks to Jonathan Mosen for posting this tip to RWP. 1. Press JAWS+6 (6 on the numeric row) to load Settings Centre. 2. Press Control+Shift+D to load the default configuration so the change will apply everywhere. 3. In the search edit field, type the word "cut", then press Tab to move to matching settings. 4. You'll find the only option there is called "Avoid speech cut-off when using Bluetooth headphones or some sound cards". Press Space to toggle it on. 5. Press Control+S to save the configuration.
